What To Expect

  • The intake process at Verve Counseling PLLC is designed to ensure that I understand your unique needs and can provide the best possible support. Below are the key steps involved in this process:

    1. Free phone consultation I conduct a 15-20 min phone consultation to better understand your needs and determine if we are a good fit. If we decide to move forward, I will work with you to find a convenient time that fits your schedule.

    2. Insurance Verification My billing company will verify your insurance benefits. If you agree to the cost of care then I will send you intake documents that must be completed prior to our first session.

    3. Intake Forms I will send you a link to a secure client portal where you will complete a series of electronic forms. These documents help me gather more detailed information about your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. You will be required to sign necessary forms that explain your rights and the limits of confidentiality.

    4. Scheduling an Appointment: Once your intake documents are complete I will put you on my calendar and send you an appointment reminder. A video link to the session will soon follow.

      What is a Good Faith Estimate?

      A GFE(Good Faith Estimate)is a form that outlines what you will be charged for services. You deserve to know what you are paying and have rights if a therapist ever charges you more than what was agreed upon. If this does happen, you can report the charges and hold the provider accountable.

  • Intake Session

    Your first session will focus on building rapport and understanding your concerns in-depth. I will review the information you've provided, discuss your mental health history, and help clarify your goals for therapy.

    Follow Up Sessions

    We will collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. This plan will outline your goals as well as the therapies or approaches that may be beneficial for you. I will give you practice exercises to do between sessions to strengthen your skills.

    Ongoing Support

    I provide weekly or biweekly sessions for 60 or 45 minutes. In crises, insurance may cover an extra session, but therapy is typically once a week.

    Length of Care

    Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Treatment length varies based on client needs. Progress is regularly reviewed to ensure care is justified and medically necessary. Clients can terminate services anytime.

  • My private pay fee rate is $125/60 mins.

  • You can text or call me on my work phone. I am available via instant messenger through your client portal. I will respond within 24 hours unless I communicated to you that I will be unavailable.

    If you need to be seen before your scheduled appointment I will always try to accommodate your request.

    In the event of an emergency you will need to contact 911.

  • You will be charged an out of pocket fee if cancellation is less than 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. Insurance does cover the cost of late cancellations.

    This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you.

  • My services are offered 100% online using videoconferencing HIPAA compliant software. A video link will be sent to you prior to each session. You will need to be in a private, quiet environment with a strong Internet connection for the duration of your session.

  • I provide Teletherapy Monday - Friday from 8am until 6:30pm (Central Time Zone). On occasion I will see a client on the weekend depending on the need, but I don't offer regular appointments on weekends.

Teletherapy

My services are offered 100% online. Teletherapy eliminates commuting time and costs, letting you see a behavioral health care provider in the convenience of your home. Teletherapy connects clients to vital health care services through videoconferencing electronics. Services are provided through a secure HIPAA complaint platform to ensure your privacy on a computer, tablet, or cell phone.
